Joey DiPompo7 April 2026Words can't describe how grateful I am to have a shop in Westminster like Westminster Speed and Sound. They are experts in every aspect when it comes to floor liners, truck bed covers, audio systems. I came in know very little but Mark and team walked me through everything. I never once felt pressured or that I was being sold to. Everything was custom to what I wanted and was hoping to achieve. Their tint services are elite. I have had tint done by other shops, had issues years later, never once with WSS. Thank you all for your helpPosted on Google
Doug Belfield26 March 2026Great Work with an Installation of Custom Laser/Radar System. I am blown away by how seamless and professional the work appears. I would honestly say it’s a better job than GM would be able to do themselves… total incredible. Check up Mark and staff of beyond excellent technician if you need something done. Look up the webpage “Westminster Speed and Sound”. You will not be disappointed, I guarantee it. Well, Apple apparently doesn’t like YouTube or vice versa. So go to Westminster Speed and Sound, For three short clips from Mark Miller, the owner of WSS, on my 2026 Torch Red ZR1 Corvette…Posted on Google

Richard Wilson10 September 2025Had a full audio installation on my 2025 GMC Denali HD Ultimate truck with WSS. The sound is incredible from the active component 3-way speakers up front, the coaxials in the rear and subs under the bench seat. Great dynamics, detail, frequency response and soundstage. The install was professional, completely custom for my truck and DSP tuned. I drove 5 hours round trip from my house to have this install performed at WSS. Their work is as clean as the sound.+3Posted on Google
Jared Lafferty4 September 2025I wasn’t able to do business with them but I wanted to share my experience. I called on the phone to ask about them installing my equipment because I did not trust myself to do it. They told me that they don’t have the band width and even gave me a little bit of advice on what I can do to make the install easier. The guys at WSS are super professional and did not make me feel 2nd tier. Most businesses won’t even give you the time of day if you don’t buy from them. When the time comes I know where I’m going for my audio system.Posted on Google

Dave Burton26 May 2025The OEM audio in my 2024 Audi S3 was meh. I didn't opt for the B&O upgrade and at this point doubt that it's worth the cost. For months I searched for a quick plug and play upgrade and finally found a brand out of Germany called Match. The closest dealer is two hours away. I looked at the website and saw they had customers making the trip from my neck of the woods and further to get their audio upgraded by Westminster Speed and Sound. I decided to drop them email. Mark, the owner responded right away and discussed options. He also invited me up to the shop to give a listen to the equipment he suggested. He also wanted his techs to take a peak at what locations for speakers I had available. I arrived and saw the Porsche Cayman in the showroom. That was my first sign I had come to the right place. Mark ended up being a Porsche fanatic just like myself. I was probably hooked before even listening to anything. He sat me in the Cayman and turned everything on. My first reaction was holy crap. I've been building automotive sound systems for years and I had no clue how what was in the Porsche was doing what it did. My old brain had some 2nd guesses because in old thinking an 8 inch shallow mount subwoofer couldn't do the things it was. I will warn you that none of the brands he sold me are cheap. I was perfectly capable of doing the install. What I wanted was the tuning. And after seeing the tuning software attached to the DSP/amp I'm glad I left it in their hands. It was way above my knowledge level. Everything was scheduled and installed. They finished on schedule and I picked the car up. I was super pleased with everything at that point. The two hour drive home only reinforced that feeling. I was listening to songs I typically skipped because they sounded so new with clarity and volume. The bass response continues to amaze me. Some bass heavy song will come on and those little 8s will pound. So happy with the outcome. You will be too. They don't just do audio. They're also an Opti-coat installer. This is a ceramic coating for your car's paint. I've had it on three cars and very much recommend it. Especially if you like a shiny vehicle with minimal effort. Mark also told me they'd be an APR flash tune dealer soon. So you'll want to check them out for that as well. Even though I have an APR dealer very near me, I'd make the trek there again.Posted on Google

Elliot Blank1 February 2025I'm somewhat of an audiophile and was not satisfied with the Bose system in my Porsche Macan. I initially went to Westminster Speed & Sound and decided to have them add a subwoofer and replace the front tweeters. Mark told me from the start that it would help, but warned me that there would be limitations with the system since I decided not to replace the amp. They did a great job with the install, and I especially love the location where they installed the bass level controller, which is easily accessible, but hidden from view. After a year though, I was left wanting more. There was significantly more bass, but it was not blending in with the music very well. The high end was also a bit harsh. So I decided to bite the bullet and see what the next step would be. Mark has a wealth of knowledge and steered me into replacing the amp, adding a pre-amp, and adding sound deadening material to the doors. Before the install was complete, they allowed me to go to the shop and test the system out with various songs. The difference was obvious. It wasn't cheap but made a huge improvement. This has really opened my eyes to what is possible in car audio. If you're ever considering a Burmester system as an upgrade in a Porsche (or paying a premium for an upgraded system in another car), I'd recommend checking them out first.Posted on Google
Brian Long21 January 2025I'm a long time client of Mark and his team at WSS. If you own a BMW and need an audio upgrade, WSS is the place to go. I've had two complete audio upgrades done on my BMW's, most recently on my 2022 BMW X3. Mark and his team developed a clear proposal to upgrade my sound. As an audiophile, the stock BMW system was woefully lacking in dimension, clarity, bass, power, and 3D sound stage. Mark and his team installed MATCH and Helix components and speakers which created a stunning listening experience. If you live anywhere in the DMV, WSS should be your go-to BMW audio resource.Posted on Google
Matt Lewis18 January 2025The remote starter i got is working great. The service was fast and the staff was very friendlyPosted on Google

J G29 November 2024Daniel and Mark were very informative as to what options were available for replacing my 2007 car radio for Apple CarPlay. They worked with my schedule and theirs to find time to do the maintenance. I also had a dash cam installed. My driving experience is much better already! I also contacted them about troubleshooting a microphone issue and it was fixed with quick turn around. Would recommend and will purchase more services/items to come.Posted on Google

Martin McGinty4 August 2024I recently had a Sony large headset installed in my 2010 Toyota Tundra. I couldn't be any happier with the way I was treated. Daniel took great care of me. He explained all the headsets that I could purchase and what he felt was the best choice for what I was looking for. The appointment was set in the same week. My daughter and I were treated like gold while waiting for the installation to be completed. Afterwards Daniel sat in my truck and explained everything I needed to know about my new headset. Great family business I would definitely return for anything they provide.....coming from Baltimore. Thank you again!!!Posted on Google
Daniel Thompson1 August 2024OMG! I cannot state enough how amazing my new sound system sounds on my 2021 Can Am Spyder RT Limited. They replaced all of the 4 inch speakers and tweeters with 6.5 inch mid basses, 5.25 inch coax and 2 inch horn tweeters and installed a 6 channel amp with DSP built in. Daniel is amazing and built pods for the 6.5 mid basses, custom templates for the horn tweeters and did a custom install of the amp at the bottom of the frunk, which hardly takes up any room. I told them that I wanted it to be LOUD and CLEAR with mid bass punch. All I can say is WOW and they covered all of the bases! This thing now screams and I already got a lot of turning heads and some dancing in the street on my first ride home. LOL All of the staff is awesome and would highly recommend to anyone looking for the services that they provide.Posted on Google
Omar Moreno10 July 2024Very professional and knowledgeable. Upgraded my speakers on my 2022 GMC Sierra 1500 to the Helix I3s and got a kicker amp. Sound quality is better and louder.Posted on Google

Winston Williams20 May 2024These guys did an excellent job piecing together and installing the perfect sound system in my 2022 Ford Bronco. At first, the sound was definitely significantly better than the stock system, however upon further research , I found out how to disable the factory EQ using FORSCAN…and let me tell you, totally unlocked the potential of the system. Couldn’t ask for better sound and everything installed seamlessly so you can’t even tell theres an upgraded system in the vehicle….until you crank the volume of course. Thank you guys!Posted on Google
Steve Buss16 May 2024I brought my 2016 Porsche to WSS for paint correction, paint protection film, ceramic coating and window tinting. Mike Shipley1 February 2024Took my Jeep JLU to Mark to "update" the window tint. Previous owner (PA) went a little too dark for MD laws. Mark added windshield tint and re-tinted the front windows as well. Looks great. Service was friendly, fast and efficient. Recently went back to see Mark to upgrade the sound in the Jeep ahead of summer topless season. Needed more power and cleaner sound. Mark recommended the MB Quart Stage 6 system. Able to retain the OEM head unit and provide clean sound and power. The team at WSS did it again! Thanks to Mark and his crew. Looking forward to springtime!Posted on Google

Shannon Derossett29 November 2023My son and I went into Westminster Speed and Sound last week. We needed a new radio system and a subwoofer put in. The could only do the radio. I asked how much, it was upwards of $250 and I had everything, but you have to use their parts. I told him what my plan was. He told us to wait a minute and let him talk to his guy who does that work. . (My nephew, was doing it for my son, but I bought the difficult wiring and he needed the simple ones.) I told the nice guy at the counter my issue. He took the radio wires and told us to wait a few minutes and let him talk to his guy who does that. When he came back, the guy had wired it up to where my nephew just had to pop it in😀😀😀 Otherwise, it would have been a hassle to get it new one and all that mess!!! I was so shocked, happy, overjoyed because he did such a NICE THING for us. THANK YOU ALL SO MUCH!!!Posted on Google

william dodero4 January 2023Westminster is phenomenal. This family business takes great care. The experience was great in all regards. The team took the time to fully educate me on my Bronco sound upgrade and RIGID light installation and installed a great system for the vehicle. The shop is a great place to be and the owners take a personal interest in each client and vehicle. As I drove in from NJ, which was well worth the drive, the team helped me find lodging and drove me back to my hotel. The job was done on time, with no surprises and is perfect. I am a client for life! Thank you, gentlemen!Posted on Google

Skip Gibson25 October 2022The best measure of customer service is how a merchant stands behind their labor and the products they sell/install. I had a rear window tint fail 7 years after Westminster Speed and Sound installed it. They explained the risks of removing and fixing that tint, and after a discussion, I decided to move forward. I really appreciate the way they outlined the options and the risks (costs) to mitigate the failed tint. They were able to make it right, but knowing the variables going in was the key to making that informed decision. I recommend Westminster Speed and Sound, and will do business (local!) with them again.Posted on Google

Joey Chen13 October 2022I am a return customer of Westminster Speed and Sound. Most recently, I brought my 2022 Tesla Model 3 to Mark and his team for a tint job. They previously did great work on my 2008 BMW that I immediately thought to go back. The Model 3 rear window came partially tinted from the factory, so I was concerned that you'd see a "line" at the transition. But the guys at WSS made the transition seamless! I mean, it really looks amazing; top quality job all around. As with before, Mark walked me through all the options, giving me a balanced opinion of the available products. I selected what best fit my needs, and (as with before) the rest of the process was easy. These guys take care of their customers. That's why I go back. I highly recommend checking them out.Posted on Google

Gary Naill15 September 2022I recently contacted WSS to see the availability of a basic AM/FM stereo with a CD player for my truck. They set me up with an installation appointment the next day. Job was done quickly & professionally. Luke & Daniel were great. Daniel came out to my truck & showed me how to operate the functions. He was very informative. What a great experience. Thanks guys!
