My husband and I were apprehensive at first due to some of the recent reviews we saw online. However, Bethesda Chimney came highly recommended by our neighbors who had also used them previously. They did charge us a fee to come out for the initial inspection but once we saw how thorough it was, we found that the inspection fee was actually not very expensive; especially after we saw how much time and work the inspection actually involved. The technician who came out spent about two hours checking both of our fireplaces, our water heater, and our furnace. To our surprise, he also got inside the attic, carefully went up on our roof, and even took the caps off of our chimney flues to check inside each one. Finally, the inspection ended with him writing a very detailed report and estimate for which seemed fair given the amount of damages and repairs they will need to fix. -- they also provided us with a military discount AND gave us an additional discount to pay using their company Zelle. After also speaking to Bryan the owner, he informed us how he had , recently hired some other employees who werent doing their job right and that is why they had some recent upset customers. The service we received however was definitely professional, honest, and they even swept out one of our chimney flues for free since we decided to move forward with the estimate for all the necessary repairs. I highly recommend Bethesda Chimney and i would say that so far our experience has been much different than all others which we read online. -- we will update everyone with another review once they do the repair work in a few weeks.Posted on Google

Vatslav Wilson4 February 2025I found crack in my chimney and called Bethesda chimney. I was going to fill it with my caulk but Bryan did a thorough inspection with his long flexible video scope and my chimney needed more than a big tube of caulk, it needed a rebuild or it would fall off my home. The crew that came out to do the work were excellent and professional. They were respectful to my garden and left the job site spic and span. and If I did not call Bethesda Chimney I would have been left standing here with my caulk in my hand and my chimney on top of my Cybertruck.Posted on Google
Guy Pfeffermann30 January 2025I can't praise the work Bethesda Chimney workers did on our chimney. They had done a super job on a second chimney some time ago, so we asked them to do the same on a second chimney. They cleaned it and put in a new metal lining and much more restoration work. Little did anyone know that this chimney, which runs from the basement up three floors, was kinked and contained a lot of mortar which had accumnulated over the decades. Furthermore the weather was sub-freezing and often high winds. The team worked several more days than they had expected, and once again did a SUPERB JOB. I cannot thank them enough.Posted on Google
Dillon Tedesco13 September 2024Zach was able to make it over earlier than expected, which was great. He was able to quickly identify the issue we had with our gas fireplace and fixed it on the spot. I've used Bethesda Chimney since we installed a gas fireplace a few years ago and the service is always excellent. Thanks Zach!Posted on Google

After booking them for a quote they were extremely prompt in providing us with pricing details and options to bring our 130 year old wood fireplace back to life. Once we decided to move forward they scheduled the job within a week and completed work in a day. The crew was knowledgeable, professional, and worked safely removing the heavy original terracotta liner. I’d highly recommend Bethesda and look forward to using them again in the future for our second fireplace! He spent the time we needed to explain the project. When we were ready to move forward he was able to schedule us quickly. The crew was on time, professional and courteous. Kimberly Manthei30 November 2022Brian (the owner) came out to clean our 2nd floor dryer vent after the dryer indicator signaled there was issue. After climbing onto the roof and through the attic to detach the duct, he discovered it was actually clean and didn’t need servicing after all! He even took photos to show me. He asked if I still wanted him to perform the service and I said no. Charged me only a small trip charge, cleaned up and was on his way. Can’t recommend these guys enough... he could have just said he did the work and I would have been none the wiser. Great company and group of people!Posted on Google

They were on time and efficient. They did a great job doing the work and cleaning up afterwards. Zach Latter, who did the initial inspection, was also friendly, knowledgeable, and responded quickly when I had questions. I would use Bethesda Chimney again!Posted on Google

Rick Berger10 August 2022Zach performed a very thorough inspection of our fireplace, flue, chimney, and Bvent - provided a remarkably detailed estimate, things were not in good shape - Juan and Edwin ripped out all of that and replaced it all in 3 days. Daniel Cluchey2 June 2022My wife and I had an excellent experience with the team led by Juan Montano. We needed to get our boiler and hot water heater flue re-lined and extend our chimney a few feet higher to bring it up to code — Juan and Edwin got the job done quickly, safely, and with the highest quality. We especially appreciated how communicative Juan was; he explained every aspect of the project before doing the work, flagged potential challenges ahead of time, and checked in with us regularly to make sure we were happy with how things were progressing. Beyond their professionalism and skill, Juan and Edwin were also friendly and respectful of the house — wearing masks while working inside, carefully touching up paint where the scaffolding had been on the outer wall, and doing a spotless clean-up job after the work was done. We were impressed with both the craftsmanship and the team, and grateful for their work.Posted on Google
Jonathan Errico7 May 2022Juan, Edwin, and team provided excellent service. They were on time, professional, and answered all my questions.Posted on Google

Yangyang Yan11 April 2022Zach is very professional, he inspected my fireplace, chimney and furnace even attic. I would use them again.Posted on Google
Solenne Abaziou11 April 2022We used Bethesda Chimney for major work on our chimney and fireplace, including replacement of our flue, masonry, and installation of a vented gas log set. The service was impeccable from start to finish. Rogel and his team were professional, and left the place as clean as when they arrived, despite having to make holes in our wall to access debris they needed to clear out. When rain was forecasted, they stopped by 3 hours before they were due on the job site to make sure our things were covered in plastic and protected from the rain. After the work was done, we noticed hairline cracks in the bricks of our fireplace due to the vibration created by the work. Zach came out that day to examine the damage, and they sent a mason over the following day to make the repairs. Anytime we called with questions, Nicole, Ross or Ryan got back to us promptly, and patiently answered all of our questions. Overall, the company was very flexible with timing, and accommodated schedule changes as needed due to plumbing issues that arose to get our gas going. We highly recommend Bethesda Chimney, and would use them again in a heartbeat.Posted on Google
Samantha Moore8 April 2022We had a WONDERFUL experience with all of the team members of Bethesda Chimney. We have a older home and they restored our fireplace back to a wood burning fireplace and weatherproofed the exterior chimney. They also weather proofed our boiler exhaust chimney that was leaking into the house, no leaks anymore! I highly recommend Bethesda Chimney for all of your chimney needs.Posted on Google
Jacob Hyman2 April 2022Overall I’m happy with the experience I’ve had with Bethesda Chimney and would use them for future projects. Brian and Nicole did a good job working with us and answering a lot of questions to determine what work we wanted to get done. While they did offer some options we didn’t wind up going with, I never felt pressured to do work we didn’t want. They have also made it easy to coordinate with the plumber and electrician needed to do work. For the work we’ve had done by Bethesda Chimeny so far, Rogel and his team (William and Uriel I believe) have been great and highly professional. They spent time explaining exactly what they were going to do, answering any questions I had, and keeping me informed as anything came up. They’re not the cheapest option, but I feel they are fairly priced for the level of service and work provided.Posted on Google
Anthony Clark23 March 2022Bethesda Chimney provided top notch service and superior results. My wife and I couldn’t be more pleased with our fireplace restoration, service, and restoration. We highly recommend Bryan and his Bethesda Chimney team!Posted on Google

Load Bearing Biondo Williams Squier19 February 2022Great company. Their inspections are professional and very thorough, everything documented with photos. They do a really good job of explaining things. Honest too — they told us our chimney did not need cleaning yet. They alerted us to a minor safety issue, and fixed it. I now feel confident that my fireplace is in good condition and safe. And Bryan’s a great guy.Posted on Google
Jared Chamberlin8 February 2022Zach came out for a chimney inspection and quotes on converting our fireplaces to gas, and was very informative and helpful. He seems incredibly knowledgeable in the area, was patient in answering all of our questions, and provided us with some great options.Posted on Google
Laura Long25 January 2022Cody and Edwin were meticulous in their preparation and clean up. All carpets were rolled up and furniture moved, everything was covered from ceiling to floor and they wore protective coverings at all times while inside my home. Their clean up was amazing. As long as the chimney works (they finished today) they are 5 and 1/2 stars!Posted on Google
Genevieve Connors22 January 2022I heard about Bethesda Chimney from a neighbor who was very happy with them! At first I was irritated as the original service technician who I spent an hour with left the company and never sent my estimate so I had to do it all over again. But the new expert who came was FANTASTIC. Zach spent time to carefully inspect and explain things to me. I highly recommend this company because it’s rare when you get someone who takes that kind of time to explain what needs doing and why - so that costs seem to all make sense. Chimney repair is not an inexpensive proposition so go for good service to make it all bearable!!! Thanks Zach.Posted on Google

Nathalie Lenoble6 October 2021I am switching to Bethesda Chimney's services without hesitation to care for my fireplace. I will also try them for other services such as power washing and dryer vent cleaning. This time, which is the first time I use them, they replaced my old fireplace by a new one. They also did a very thorough inspection of the chase which made me realize that it was about time to replace the whole system (not only the fireplace). They also installed a brand new B-vent. I was impressed by their service and professionalism. They are very knowledgeable and they are quick. I think that what impressed me the most was to get a very detailed estimate only three hours after their first visit. I have also compared their prices with a couple of other companies I used in the past, and for the quality of their service, their price was reasonable to me (and I am a demanding customer!) The whole team I dealt with (Bryan, Nicole, Juan and his helper, and the two guys who came over for the estimate) was really great to deal with. I highly recommend them, I will recommend them to friends and family without hesitation.Posted on Google

Paul Kittredge1 September 2021I can't recommend Bethesda Chimney highly enough - they did fantastic work, were thoroughly professional throughout the entire process, and were, to a person, great to interact with. We needed some serious chimney work done (as well as some outside cleanup to our brick house). They gave us a very reasonable quote, did the work more quickly than promised, and then made sure we understood all the details and the work that was done. I especially want to call out Zach for sticking with us through the whole process, Natalie for handling all of the necessary back and forth, and Bryan for showing up after hours (8:30 PM!) at our house to get the final check and talk about cats. You can't go wrong with Bethesda Chimney!Posted on Google
Sara Levitch16 August 2021We had our townhome fireplace inspected and cleaned. Our experience with Bethesda Chimney was wonderful. Everyone we interacted with was professional and polite. Our fireplace looks brand new!Posted on Google
Stephen Liu25 June 2021Scheduled a repair with masonry work and cleaning and a new cap. Big job but was very impressed by the professionalism of Rogel and Cody. They wore booties on their shoes and kept masks on. They covered all of the nearby furniture and carpet so as to not leave any mess and when they left, I swear, the room was cleaner than when we started.Posted on Google
Theresa Clark14 June 2021I am a repeat customer of Bethesda Chimney. They do great work and are very respectful of your house. Recommend them highly.Posted on Google
michael kacmar28 May 2021My chimney was re-lined along with a rain cap. The work was completed by the quoted time and professionally done. I expected a mess, but their attention to cleanliness blew me away. I highly recommend Bethesda Chimney Service.Posted on Google
Bennett Cross27 May 2021I had a pipe coming from my hot water heater to the chimney vent that was angled downward, therefore potentially leaking carbon monoxide, plus the chimney was not lined. Bethesda Chimney did an inspection and sent me an estimate the same day I called. Given the low ceiling height, the best solution for the downward pipe was to install a shorter water heater. At my request, they called in one of the plumbing contractors they work with and were able to install and repipe the water heater and furnace, as well as install the chimney lining and cap the next day. They had state of the art technology, with a camera they lowered into the chimney that sent video to a screen up top. Their price for the chimney work was less than I expected and they were extremely freindly and helpful. They wore protective booties when walking through the house and had proof of covid vaxes and wore masks. Overall a very good experience and everything seems to be working well.Posted on Google
Tom H4 May 2021The service of this company is terrific. They are responsive and thorough and very pleasant to work with. They use video cameras to film inside the flues as well as conditions on the roof that are otherwise inaccessible, and they explained all of their work along the way. We learned that we needed a chimney cap to protect our flue, and they even showed us how to arrange logs in wood-burning fireplaces for maximum efficiency. I highly recommend this firm. The only downside was that we had to wait a bit for service because they were making major repairs to the home of the Vice-President of the United States.Posted on Google
Burnetta Jenkins30 April 2021Cody, Shawn and Zack serviced my home. They were very professional, friendly and knowledgeable. I would use this company in the future.Posted on Google
Robyn Brody Greenhouse22 April 2021Bethesda Chimney's services were excellent! Everyone was very friendly, explained what they were doing, and answered any questions that I had about the process.
