Very authentic African store, at this store you can find ladies and gentlemen African apparels, although they specialize in clothing, they also sell a bunch of other African ornaments and jewelries. The lady in charge is fantastic and very helpful . They even sell the Wakanda clothes. The location is nice and there is plenty of parking around the area too . I love, love, love, Afrique Fashion House located in Upper Marlboro, MD. Today was my first time visiting and purchasing there. The professionalism and personable characters is SUPERB! I was greeted coming through the door. I felt like I had known Ms. Adwoa and Ms. Carolyn for years. They connected with my needs and were very attentive to my likes and dislikes without being pushy to purchase. I also observed how they connected with other customers male and female alike. A few customers came in and they knew them by name. The atmosphere of the boutique is very community oriented. Their customers were also personable and kind.

The selection of apparel is BEAUTIFUL and HANDSOME! I love the material quality and designs. The custom made and already made apparel is worth the price.

The Owner Is Very Rude , Followed Me Around The Store And Was Rushing us To buy something . I am from Atlanta and not familiar with the African styles and I asked questions . From the moment I walked into the store, I was greeted like family—and that set the tone for an unforgettable shopping experience.

The space was filled with creative, vibrant, and truly original pieces, thoughtfully designed by the owner and talented local designers. What stood out the most was how the owner took the time to really understand me—my body, my style, and even the things I wouldn’t normally pick for myself. Somehow, she was able to guide me toward pieces I would have overlooked, and I’m so glad she did.

I originally came in for just one item… but that quickly changed! There were so many beautiful options right from the moment I walked in that I ended up leaving with several pieces—not just for myself, but also for my goddaughter, plus some accessories—all at a very fair price.

I’ll admit, I didn’t think this African clothing was “my thing,” but the way these pieces are designed with modern fashion in mind makes the clothes authentic and me proud. Now, I’m excited to incorporate more pieces into my wardrobe more often because they truly represent me.
