Cindy Downey13 July 2023This is only my third interaction with this shop, and I must say I don't mind dealing with a shop a thousand miles away when you see what they have to offer. I was up to visit relatives last November and spend a couple hours in the shop where they were more than willing to cut any size fabric I needed for many special projects. I got my mystery quilt, my strip projects, my Christmas projects, everything in one trip. The shop was lovely the people were more than helpful. After returning home I couldn't help it, there were so many beautiful things I saw while I was there. I placed another online order and got it within 4 days. I just placed my second online order this week which covered an immense array of projects. I went through all 98 screens on my cell phone of available fabric. Kay and Chuck Belzner5 July 2023I have been sewing for close to 50 years but have always had just a small basic domestic machine. Now that I am retired, I am learning to machine quilt and was looking for a machine with a wider throat but didn't need too many other bells and whistles. As this is strictly a hobby for me, mostly sewing for charities, I knew I didn't want to spend what I saw many of the quilting machines going for. I was hesitant to contact Glory Bee's as I felt a bit intimidated as compared to the many talented (and even professional) quilters that I envisioned shopping there. I reached out by phone and spoke with owner Gloria, explaining my situation, my purpose, my wishes as well as my budget limit. Gloria was not the least bit put off by my budget number and responded by letting me know that she had just the machine that she thought would be perfect for me, available at a significantly discounted price. She invited me to come in and take a look. I appreciated that her response fit my needs and wants rather than trying to sell me something that could have been much more expensive with more features than I wanted or needed. That evening I researched the model and watched several YouTube videos to learn more about the machine. When I stopped in the next day, I met with Kim (as Gloria was teaching a class). Kim took the machine out of the box and set it up for a short demonstration. She explained all the major features (while this is not the fanciest of machines it has many features that are new to me and are making my sewing so much more enjoyable), patiently answering questions. Gloria joined us when her class was finished and assisted in demonstrating the machine as well as sharing her experiences. I was then given some time to try out some of the features on my own. I made the decision to purchase this machine and it's absolutely perfect for my needs. I look forward to the free classes regarding my new Janome machine that will be held in the coming weeks at Glory Bee's. And I have the reassurance of a quilting shop staff that will be available should I have questions or concerns about my machine!Posted on Google

I recently got my machine serviced at the end of last month, and April helped get my heavy machine into the backseat of my car and even showed me how to strap it in for safe transport on my drive home. It was a stormy day with bad weather, and she made sure I was taken care of. I live an hour and some change away and Chuck always gets my service done the day of so I can leave with my machine the same day. He is excellent and I’ve gotten two machines serviced here—never any issues and such a reasonable price for routine maintenance. I purchased my first professional machine here in February of last year and love that the purchase came with a year of free classes and first clean & lube is on the house. I just recently purchased another more advanced embroidery machine last week with Glory Bees and Gloria is an expert at what she does. She was so helpful at recommending me a machine that will fit my needs as my embroidery business is growing quite extensively and I needed an upgrade. I cannot wait to get into the shop and learn with my second year of free classes. Everyone at Glory Bees is kind, helpful, and dedicated to what they do! He also made some suggestions to help improve my embroidery results, one of which was to make sure to use Janome bobbins. Some of the ones I had used were not quite the right size, a 1/16 of an inch too short which caused misses when the bobbin shuttle rotated that resulted in bird nesting or skipped stitches.Posted on Google

According to my mom, the owner spent a long time with her going through all the models and options, talking about pros and cons of each, letting her try each machine for herself. The machine she bought was far more advanced than anything I ever used before so I went back to the shop for a lesson on the machine. Unfortunately, I don't remember the name of the lady who helped me but she was the nicest lady I've ever talked to. She was extremely knowledgeable, answered all my questions, and patiently spent 2 hours with me helping me learn my new Janome.
