Das Bierhalle Bel Air brings the German Bierhalle experience to the heart of downtown Bel Air, MD. Inspired by a founder’s trip to Oktoberfest in 2013, Das Bierhalle was built on a vision of giant pretzels, big biers, communal-style seating, feel-good music, and the kind of atmosphere where strangers leave as friends. The Bel Air location opened its doors on March 28th, 2023, at 119 S. Main Street – and Harford County has not been the same since.

The concept is German at heart but American in spirit. While Das Bierhalle does not claim to be a strictly authentic German restaurant, every detail – from the liter mugs of draft beer to the sauerkraut balls and giant soft pretzels – channels the warmth and energy of Oktoberfest. Some call that feeling ‘Gemuetlichkeit.’ Around here, they just call it ‘Das.’

The Bel Air location features two large bars, two dining areas, and weekend brunch service on Saturdays and Sundays starting at 10 AM. The space welcomes everyone, from first-timers to regulars, solo visitors to large groups celebrating life’s biggest moments.
