PART I — SMS Messaging Terms & Compliance

Program Description

Maryland Local Businesses operates an SMS messaging program designed to ensure optimal customer support and respond to service-related inquiries. We collect two separate types of SMS consent, each governing a distinct category of messages:

Transactional Messages (Separate Consent Required):

Appointment confirmations and booking acknowledgments
Appointment reminders and rescheduling notifications
Responses to customer service inquiries
Order updates and account notifications

Marketing & Promotional Messages (Separate Consent Required):

Special offers and discounts
New product or service announcements
Promotional campaigns and seasonal offers

Each consent type is collected via a separate, unchecked-by-default checkbox on our opt-in forms at www.marylandlocalbusinesses.com. Enrolling in one type does not enroll you in the other. You may opt out of either type independently.

Cancellation Instructions (STOP)

The following opt-out procedure applies verbatim in accordance with TCPA and CTIA requirements:

You can cancel the SMS service at any time. Just text “STOP” to 410-828-4286.
After you send the SMS message “STOP” to us, we will send you an SMS message to confirm
that you have been unsubscribed. After this, you will no longer receive SMS messages from
us. If you want to join again, just sign up as you did the first time and we will start
sending SMS messages to you again.

Opting out of marketing SMS does not cancel your transactional SMS enrollment. To stop all messages, reply STOP from the number you wish to unsubscribe. All opt-out requests are processed within 24 hours.

Carrier Liability

Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.

Supported carriers include AT&T, T-Mobile, Verizon, Sprint, and most major U.S. regional carriers.

Message & Data Rates

Message and data rates may apply. Message frequency varies based on your interactions with our service and your appointment schedule. For questions about your text plan or data plan, please contact your wireless provider directly.

Age Restriction & Legal Representation

By using this service, you represent and warrant that you are at least 18 years of age. If you are under 18 years old, you may not use or access our services or opt into our messaging program.

Parents or guardians who believe their minor child has opted into this program should contact us immediately at [email protected] so we may promptly remove the minor from all messaging lists.

Privacy Policy

Your use of our SMS messaging program is governed by our Privacy Policy, which describes how we collect, use, and protect your personal information — including both transactional and marketing SMS opt-in data. View it here: www.marylandlocalbusinesses.com/privacy-policy-2.

By opting into either consent type, you acknowledge that you have read and agree to our Privacy Policy. No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes.

Legal Compliance

We comply with all applicable laws and regulations governing SMS communications, including the Telephone Consumer Protection Act (TCPA), CTIA Messaging Principles and Best Practices, and applicable state consumer protection statutes.

By using the Site, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service and to use the Site in accordance with these Terms of Service, our Privacy Policy, and any additional terms and conditions that may apply to specific sections of the Site or to products and services available through the Site or from Maryland Local Businesses.
