Old Pro Golf is a family owned and operated mini golf business in Ocean City, MD since 1965. Herbert J. and Aileen “Deany” Schoellkopf founded the business. Before starting Old Pro Golf, the two worked to design and build mini golf courses across the east coast. Herbert has designed and built more than 150 golf courses over a 50+ year career.
Key characteristics of Old Pro courses include elaborate themes, mechanized obstacles, challenging hole design, extensive water use and more. Inspiration for these courses were drawn heavily from Walt Disney’s word “Imagineering”. After launching their original location in 1965, Old Pro Golf continued expanding until 2010 across Ocean City. This mini golf business now has four total locations, with two of them featuring indoor courses along with outdoor.
